We are a research and education initiative dedicated to helping individuals cultivate the psychological and philosophical tools necessary to thrive in the age of artificial intelligence.

Our Mission

To help individuals and communities become more fully human—not less—by promoting mental resilience, ethical reflection, and deep self-awareness as essential skills for navigating the age of AI.

Our Vision

To build a thoughtful bridge between innovation and identity, creating a space for dialogue, a source of practical tools, and a community of seekers committed to shaping a human-centric future.

Our Approach

We acknowledge that we are not alone in this endeavor. Many others are exploring similar questions, and we celebrate their work. You can find a list of some of these allied projects on our Resources Page. Our core principle is not to reject technology, but to engage with it proactively and intentionally. The ultimate goal is to find deeper meaning and purpose in our humanity, not in spite of technological advancement, but in dialogue with it.

Our History

The Human Resilience Project (HRP) was born in late-2024 as both a living experiment in resilience and a gathering place for curious, like-minded individuals committed to navigating the AI era together. Conceived by Kenneth G. Hartman as an exercise in putting resilience into practice, HRP sprang from a desire to forge a community of seekers—people eager to share ideas, swap support, and build mental frameworks that deepen our uniquely human strengths rather than outsource them to machines. At its heart, HRP is a response to the chorus of YouTube warnings that "AI will take our jobs and render us irrelevant." Instead of yielding to that fear, it invites us to become more intentional, more creative, and more connected—turning anxiety into agency and technological change into an opportunity for collective growth.
